i’ve made a lot of changes to this, my neglected blog. I was seduced by Twitter and thought I would both tweet and post here. I was wrong. I hope to replace my Twitter usage with posts here.

I’ve been trying to get the open source “Gallery2″ to work in WordPress and have continued my experience with Drupal where it doesn’t quite work. There is a lot of massaging that needs to be done to get it to work. I’ve decided to try the flickr photo album plug-in for WordPress. I saw how well it is working for Jamie Thinglestad and I knew that I could send pictures directly to my photostream from my Blackberry. This will add a new dimension to the site. So far there aren’t too many photos, I have to upload the albums to flickr later.

As I sit here writing an update for the site on my iPod Touch it is becoming apparent that WordPress is easier to use than Drupal. I should qualify that statement by stating that it is easier for what I want to do. Drupal does more things but it doesn’t do any one of them as well a WordPress. I’m having to learn about editing .php docs and some other things and the number of themes available leaves a little to be desired but I am easily able to update content without sitting down at my desk. That is something that I couldn’t get Drupal to do.
