Grace & the Dentist

Look in the Gallery and you’ll find a picture of what’s missing in Grace’s smile. Seems that she has a tooth that is eager to come in even before the baby tooth has vacated it’s space. This led to a trip to the dentist with Dad. Dad has a tendency to be the parent present when there might be pain involved like when Grace went to the ER after biting through her lip or when she has to get a shot. Last Friday at 12:20pm we arrived at the dentist’s office in Eden Prairie apparently moments after the power went out. They still saw her as the exam room has a big window and they were still willing to pull the tooth but there would be no "happy" gas. Grace said no. No "happy" gas, no pully tooth. We left, only to have Mom call the dentist back and try to get us in as soon as the power came back on. At 3:30pm we returned and a little while later she had the most endearing gap in her smile. There was "happy" gas involved but for some reason it was more like "tingly" gas as the only thing it did was to make her fingers a little tingly. Next time we’ll have to figure out another way to ease her anxiety about stuff she hasn’t done yet.
