Today Grace was fishing with Grandpa Bill (after making him come back with the boat so she could go too) and was her usual chatterbox self. “Fishy, fishy, bite my hook…” was what she would say while waiting for a fish. With only a worm she pulled in a 3 lb. northern after saying “Grandpa, I think I’m going to need a little help with this one!”. All together she caught 5 fish but the northern and a 1 lb. crappy were the only ones worth keeping. I hope all of her Randash relatives realize that these fish were caught on West Silent Lake and that Great-Grandpa Elmer HAD to be helping her out!

Grace is so excited she can hardly stand it. She waits all winter, ever since last Labor Day really, to go back to the cabin and this weekend is the time to go back. There’s a lot of work to do this weekend, putting the docks in, cleaning, organizing, generally getting ready. The idea is to get as many family members there as possible to make it easier to get it all done. Some years it doesn’t work out that way but this year I think we’ll have a large crew.

In case you haven’t noticed there are also a lot of changes on this site. I’ve upgraded, enhanced, and added. I hope everyone likes! If you don’t, keep it to yourself! If you do, let me know via comment.
